Election Rant

It’s been too long since any post has happened on here, and since the 2012 election has come and passed I believe it is time to voice my opinion.

You are all stupid.

Okay, I jumped the gun a little bit, but I am speaking to the vast majority of you, both democrats and republicans who are reading this thinking that your party is vastly different from it’s counterpart in “political” terms. The main difference between your two parties is one is a jackass and the other is a fat-ass. Your ignorance binds you together tighter than any issue Obama or Romney tried to separate you on: abortion, GUN control, healthcare, immigration, etc.  These two are not going to change any other issues enough to upset the other party, so they slide down the middle of the line, pandering to their Republican or Democratic masses to make the people think that they are so much different than the counterpart.

BULLSHIT.

This is a sports game people. It is just like wanting the Yankees or Redsox to win. We are duped into joining the republicans (red team) or democrats (blue team), when they ultimately don’t differ that much other than the players on the team. It’s a system that is working though, all too damn well. Our youth grow up to join the team that their parents are on usually, all the while the league office (government) is laughing at how much like cattle its people really are. We grow up hating the other team because, well,  that is what happens in sports. No one wants the rivals to win. Fuck that. But all the while nothing ultimately changes for us. Neither side is going to change TAXES enough to effect the majority of tax payers (I say tax payers rather than Americans because unless you are of Native American decent you aren’t truly an American). No one who makes the money you have to make to even be able to run for office (which is supposed to be open to every individual) cares what a typical tax payer goes through in their day to day lives.

Wake up and stop blaming each other.

Republicans, stop saying you want government out of your business. The only thing you want government to be out of your business on is your money. You want to tell people what they can and cannot do to their body, which is worse than taking my money. If you want to stand for FREEDOM, let me be free to smoke, free to drink, free to change the things on my body that if it does not hurt anyone else IS OF NO CONCERN TO YOU OR ANYONE ELSE. Stop being so arrogant. Being condescending towards everyone doesn’t help you cause.

Democrats, stop telling me what to do with my money. I worked my ass off to earn this, and yes I will help my fellow countrymen, but let me decide where it goes. Give me more option in what I WANT TO DO WITH IT. Stop being little bitches about Republicans picking on you. Yes you might have gone to Harvard or Yale and be far superior intellectually than a good ole boy, but when you piss him off and he bitch slaps you, you should understand why.

Here is my proposition.

Republicans, I love your idea of what is mine is mine. But that includes my body. If I want to smoke weed or even shoot heroine I am allowed if it doesn’t hurt anyone else. It’s like owning guns, everything is okay until you shot somebody. Give up on the abortion thing, this isn’t a political issue anyway. It’s a very personal topic between the father and mother. Don’t act like you know what you would do until you were in their situation either.

Democrats, government is not the answer to everything. Making it bigger is not making it better. Nor is forcing socialism on the nation. People need to decide for themselves to help their peers. This sounds so cliché, but don’t take my money and means to defend myself( my view on the 2nd amendment I will go into later).  Don’t force me to pay for healthcare. In fact, don’t force me to pay for anything that isn’t essential to our government.

Now for everyone.

Step one: Eliminate political parties. Everyone has different views and you could not possibly have the identical values as your party, because ultimately there isn’t a list of ideologies that each have to believe. This isn’t team slayer, it’s a FFA. And if you disagree with this, you can just as easily go cheer for the Steelers to beat the Ravens as you can the Republicans to beat the Democrats. ITS NOT A GAME, you are a person, with personal beliefs. If not maybe we should all be peeing on girls like Big Ben if we like the Steelers.

Step two: Put expiration dates on all laws, regulations, political offices, etc. The constitution should be reviewed every so often. This is because how many laws and regulations are we BORN into without ever having any sort of say in the matter. What was relevant 200 plus years ago might not be important in contemporary society. Nothing lasts forever and everything changes. WE MUST change with it. Shouldn’t we be able to say, “ I lived like this for 20 years of my life, and well, it isn’t working. We need to change it” or “Some jackass got put into the Supreme Court and we have no real say in how long his dumbass will be there”. No, everything should be under a periodic review.

Step three: Maybe the most important step. Educate yourself. And be open minded for fuck’s sake. Listen to everyone, even the people you despise the most. You might learn something, even something that reaffirms what you already know, but it is knowledge. And never compromise your intelligence, it’s one of the few things they can’t take away from you. (except maybe old age or the Bourne conspiracy).
